Since January 1, 2002, Raymond Clyde (Bud) Shockey
has served as pastor of Bodine Baptist Church.
Pastor Shockey and his
wife Suzy have three daughters, Kassi (Shockey) Shaw, Krissa, and
Jourdan.
Our pastor is a native of Texas having been born in San Antonio
and having grown up just outside of New Braunfels.
He is a graduate of
the Independent Baptist College in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he earned a
Master's Degree in Bible, and he also holds an Associate of Arts degree
in music from Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in music and church history from American Christian College in
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Brother Shockey follows Dr. Joe Hocking as pastor of the
church who served Bodine for over 38 years. "I am truly humbled and
highly honored to follow such a wonderful man of God as pastor of this
great church, and as God has blessed the ministry of our church for
these many years we believe He will continue to for many years to come,
" says Brother Shockey.
He extends a heartfelt invitation to any and all who
